Job Description
As the Inside Sales Manager at BW Papersystems in Baltimore, MD, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's inside sales efforts and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the inside sales operations, including pricing, quoting, customer service, order processing, and proposal management. Your leadership and strategic acumen will be critical in achieving sales targets, fostering customer relationships, and optimizing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities/Complexities:
- Provide executive leadership with comprehensive sales statistics, reports, and updates on sales volume and discount levels. Present sales data in weekly executive meetings to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Manage the preparation of proposals, ensuring adherence to deadlines. Oversee the submission process, including gathering and developing all necessary information for proposal creation.
- Interface and communicate shipping schedule with the manufacturing team.
- Work in tandem with the accounting department to ascertain correct pricing for products and services.
- Interface with all sales and parts/service personnel to ensure cohesion and efficiency. Collaborate with sales teams on pricing strategies, concessions, delivery schedules, and machine option requirements.
- Review contracts to verify alignment with corporate objectives, policies, and procedures. Ensure all necessary clarifications and amendments are incorporated into the final contract.
- Conduct audits of the central proposal file and logs to uphold procedural controls and compliance standards.
- Take ownership of cost management, methodologies, and personnel within the inside sales department.
- Provide support to project managers as required to ensure successful project execution.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of inside sales experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or related environment.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
- Experience with D365 (Microsoft Dynamics 365) or similar CRM software.
