Carlsberg Canada recently purchased Waterloo Brewing Ltd. so Carlsberg Canada includes the production, distribution and commercialization of Carlsberg and Waterloo products as well as various co-manufacturing partnerships.

Role Summary:

Key Account & Sales Manager will be the liaison between the local partner agents and distributors in the province of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. To have firsthand relationships with all Key accounts as well all liquor boards. This is simply to maintain a relationship between the customer and the manufacturer. Key Account will be managed by agent partner in all provinces, and the objective is to be able to present from time to time with the agent in the liquor boards.

Alberta: Partner agent is Great Western Brewery. Sales force of 10 sales territory managers, 1 KA, 1 director of sales, 2 brand Support, 1 VP

Manitoba: Partner agent and distributor, WETT Sales, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Sales force of 4 people, 1 KA, 1 director of sales

Saskatchewan: WETT Sales. Sales of 3

Accountabilities:

  • Orchestrate yearly sales budget for volume, distribution and share growth target. Basically, sales plan
  • Develop Commercial plan for both channels, On and Off Premise, by customer, by brand, by formats.
  • Support in tracking program success, provide feedback, measurement opportunities and improvements.
  • Organize weekly SMAC Alignment calls with partners. Smart Marketing Activity Calendar (SMAC).
  • Establish strong working relationship both internally (Carlsberg) and externally (agent, liquor boards)
  • Recommend Pricing strategy with partner and ensure profitability with Carlsberg.
  • Create, manage, implement, and track with the help of finance partner local territory budgets; Advertising and promotions, Limited Time Offers, Promotional calendar (with support from Trade Marketing)
  • Manage personal expenses with assigned budget.
  • Maintain Merchandising Standards and work to influence space to sales allocation and product availability and visibility with the Premium category or Cider and RTD Segment.
  • Share the learnings and WOW with each of the provinces teams to ensure consistency and best in class execution.
  • Working with National director of sales Partners to build annual key account budget and monthly reporting.
  • Layout clear priorities for partners and well as have yearly kick off meetings as well as Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Work with partners to get monthly and YTD sales and distribution reports.
  • Report all price chances and work pricing recommendations with partner.
  • Feed in Partner forecasting after reviewing and challenging.
  • Participate in CC S&OP meetings.
  • Initiate team meeting with brands and trade marketing team.
  • Collaborate with trade marketing team on what is needed in region for trade tools after partners recommendations.
  • Merchandising tools to ensure we create awareness and availability, affordability, and activation of brands.
  • Manage local sponsorship with local partner and agents (along with Sponsorship teams at CC)
  • Understand basic P&L variance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university
  • 3 years of work experience in packaged goods
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Proficiency in French is advantageous.
  • Background in the brewing industry is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time is required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Office Suite applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Power BI, Outlook Calendar, Share Drive) with excellent understanding and navigation skills.
