The Category Sales Manager for Food & Beverage is a customer-facing role responsible for managing key clients, fostering strong and sustainable relationships, driving customer profitability, and achieving growth for the tear tapes portfolio, with a focus on the Food and Beverage sector. The role also involves promoting products to customers where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement GTM Strategy: Collaborate with the Category Lead to create and execute a Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy across a defined portfolio of targeted key accounts and markets.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and deliver tear tape packaging solutions aimed at increasing revenue.
  • Account Management and Relationship Building: Demonstrate strong account management skills, build lasting client relationships, and effectively lead the development and conversion of leads.
  • Solution Delivery: Provide tailored solutions to meet the needs of targeted markets and customers, emphasizing a consultative, solution-based selling approach.
  • Collaborative Selling Environment: Work effectively in a team-based, collaborative sales environment.
  • Customer Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health & safety, hygiene, and legal standards during customer interactions.
  • Key Account Plan Execution: Implement and execute a comprehensive Key Account plan in coordination with the Key Account Team, ensuring employee engagement.
  • Champion Voice of the Customer: Advocate for the customer's needs within the business to ensure alignment with their expectations.
  • Expert Engagement: Engage with targeted accounts at all levels, positioning yourself as a technical expert in the Food & Beverage category, promoting solutions within the product portfolio.
  • Market Price Analysis: Understand and provide market price information for the selected product portfolio.
  • Major Account Management: Demonstrate experience in managing large accounts at the head office level.

Qualifications - essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial sales experience with a focus on lead development and conversion in a medium to large-sized manufacturing organization.
  • Proven experience in the Food and Beverage industry or in a supporting role.
  • Background in the flexible packaging industry.
  • Experience in international sales within a B2B environment.
  • Familiarity with collaborating alongside customer trade marketing departments.
  • Strong ability to analyze market data and predict trends and product developments, working closely with the marketing team.
  • Established credibility as a market expert with insights into industry trends and the impact of macroeconomic factors.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Flexibility in working arrangements.

Qualifications - desirable:

  • Consumer Packaging market knowledge
  • Degree in Packaging or a strong technical background in flexible packaging.
  • Process-driven with a strong technical orientation.
  • Expertise in financial analysis and cost management.
  • Potential to lead and establish a commercial team across North and South America.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Compensation Package:

  • 1099 contract
