What we do:

We are a 3M Preferred Converter and specialized in designing, fabricating, and distributing a wide variety of custom adhesive and die-cut solutions for over 45 years! Through a wide variety of converting technologies, we offer a diversity of products, ranging from simple die cut tapes, seals, and gaskets, to fully-assembled sub-components. We utilize over 250 different raw materials, used for Attachment, Buzz, Squeak & Rattle / NVH, EMI Shielding, Fastening, Gasketing & Sealing, Labeling, Printing & Identification, Masking, Safety, Surface Protection, and Wind Noise / Sound Dampening.

Sales Service Administrator job description:

Responsible for the management, coordination, administrative processing, and analysis of all pre-production parts; including PPAP, samples, prototypes, and other non-production parts; in accordance with internal/external customer requirements, and in a timely manner that meets due dates agreed upon by Argent and its customers.

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely establishment, population, launching, execution and maintenance of static and dynamic information within PLEX; thereby allowing Argent to meet date and product commitments to external and internal customers. Relevant tasks and data include, but are not limited to:
  • Internal Part Numbers (IPN)
  • Item master data ( i.e. pricing, PPAP demand, and customer part cross-references)
  • Initial customer purchase orders relating to pre-production
  • Work orders relating to pre-production
  • Shipping paperwork; including PPAP, pre-production, sample material and prototypes
  • Responsible for proper verification of all new customer orders to confirm compliance with contract review procedures.
  • Responsible for assignment of new IPNs and maintaining timely initialization of data entry required in PLEX for order processing; which includes cross-referencing of part numbers, entering PPAP demand and master price.
  • Proactively manages assigned customer account base including timely communications with customers, account managers, quality team, and engineering as required.
  • Manages PPAP status of parts including entry of demand, release of work orders, and shipment of PPAP parts as required.
  • Manages prototype status of parts including the entry of demand, release of work orders, and shipment of parts as required.
  • Weekly review and reporting of all IPNs at PPAP and prototype status.
  • Understands MRP basics, automotive industry “release” system, supply chain processes, as well as Argent’s systems and processes.
  • Can locate and verify customer orders, finished goods inventory, raw inventory, and work orders within PLEX and other Argent data locations as required to service customer needs.
  • Advise management and account managers of critical issues that may negatively impact sample, prototype and PPAP due dates, customer relations, and internal operations or procedures.
  • Actively participate in projects and meetings, when appropriate, regarding the re-design of Argent systems, procedures, and training.
  • Continually improve skills through education and training.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by the Sales Manager.
  • Treat customers with the highest level of respect. Ensure that customer service needs take precedence over other daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Promptly and accurately enter customer orders into Argent’s business system.
  • Effectively communicate with the Sales Team and internal/external customers.
  • Provide suggestions for cost savings, process improvements and enhanced customer service.
