Standard Electric Supply Co. is a family-owned company that is celebrating 105 years of service. We are a whole electrical distributor and we have 16 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team in our Indianapolis, IN location. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services by providing exceptional customer service. Your objective is to identify customer needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements while also developing new business opportunities. This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of product specialists and will be provided with a customized product training plan to ensure your success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license and personal transportation required
  • 1 year of experience in account management or sales
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems
  • Experience with solution selling and sales process

Responsibilities:

  • Use effective sales techniques to identify and qualify profitable sales opportunities
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide excellent customer service and support
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities utilizing a customer relationship management system
  • Complete and implement annual business plans to meet and exceed goals
