VP OF SALES, NORTH AMERICA (M/F/D)

Job Summary:

As the VP of Sales for North America, you will play a crucial role in driving sales strategy, growth, and market penetration across the region. This leadership position requires a seasoned sales executive with deep experience in the food machinery or related industrial equipment sector, as well as a proven track record of achieving significant sales targets. You will be responsible for managing a team of sales professionals, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand market share, and building strong relationships with key accounts, including major chocolate, nut, and snack manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the North American sales team to achieve and exceed annual sales targets. Drive a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and continuous improvement.

  • Strategy & Market Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the North American market, identifying new business opportunities and channels to drive market share growth.

  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with major food production clients, understanding their needs and aligning solutions to meet those needs effectively.

  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with key industry players, including suppliers, distributors, and strategic partners, to enhance the company’s market presence and build mutually beneficial partnerships.

  • Product Knowledge & Innovation: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s roasting, grinding, and auxiliary machinery, and stay updated on industry trends and technological innovations to effectively advise customers and support sales initiatives.

  • Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular Performance reports to senior management. Use data-driven insights to refine sales strategies and improve overall sales efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, engineering, and product development teams to ensure customer needs are met and feedback is incorporated into new product offerings

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of sales experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably in the food processing machinery sector, with at least 5 years in a Leadership role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of roasting, grinding, and processing equipment for cocoa, chocolate, nuts, and snacks. Familiarity with food safety regulations and manufacturing processes in North America.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of driving revenue growth, securing major accounts, and achieving or exceeding sales targets within the food industry.
  • Leadership & Management Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on Team development, motivation, and performance management.
  • Customer-Centric: Ability to build and sustain strong customer relationships and deliver solutions that meet complex, high-value customer requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in sales forecasting, market analysis, and leveraging CRM systems for data-driven decision-making.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
