The WHILL organization in North America has 2 primary lines of business:
- Mobility Services – this includes autonomous and on-site fleet lease services.
- Mobility Sales – this includes sale of new products through brick-and-mortar retail, online, and alternative product distribution channels.
Job Title: Area Sales Manager, WHILL Mobility Sales North America
Location: Western United States CA or AZ ideal / US-based mandatory
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Business Development, WHILL Mobility Sales North America
Responsible for the sale of WHILL products through multiple distribution channels. This outside sales position offers you the opportunity to play a vital role in increasing market penetration within the Western territory (CA, NV, AZ, CO). This is an individual contributor role with a primary focus of selling WHILL products through resellers and distributors.
A successful track record and relevant experience selling medical products to and through a variety of distribution channels is required. Experience selling into the Veterans Administration directly and/or through dealer channel is a plus. You have experience identifying sales opportunities, through various channel partners, developing relationships, and working with these partners to sign contracts and generate sales that meet revenue targets. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment, be creative, independent, focused and an excellent problem solver.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed revenue targets within the CA, NV, AZ, TX territory.
- Qualify and develop new business opportunities from outbound/inbound calls, leads, and general prospecting including cold calling and networking in the region.
- Perform sales presentations and demonstrations to customers and prospects.
- Develop territory strategy, including channel leverage for each account.
- Accurately forecast revenue for territory and accounts, maintain contact information, business history and opportunity details in salesforce.com.
- Travel extensively in territory to develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts, with a strong ability to articulate the value proposition and product differentiation.
- Assist in the negotiation and completion of agreements with sales targets, ensuring terms that maximize the company’s sales and margin goals.
- Provide outstanding customer service to customers, prospects and channel partners.
- May need to travel outside of the sales territory to attend marketing events and company meetings.
Qualifications:
- 5 years medical device sales experience, specifically outside territory sales, preferred
- Demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and negotiation skills
- Must have a solid, working knowledge of salesforce.com
- Excellent follow through, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
- This position requires the ability to travel frequently
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
