Aventura World is a tour operator specializing in group travel since 1972. Since its formation Aventura World, has been dedicated to revealing the treasures of the world, from the capitals of Europe, to Australia’s Great Barrier, and virtually all points in-between. We are searching for an outside salesperson to join our growing team. We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Managers in various locations throughout the country. Working in a B to B atmosphere, our Business Development Managers are responsible for recognizing potential growth areas, opening new accounts and nurturing long-term relationships with group leaders, attending sales meetings/conventions and conducting PowerPoint presentations. Traveling throughout their territory, our Business Development Managers promote the benefits of Aventura World, actively support partner marketing efforts and present to potential travelers on a daily basis. Not only will sell travel, you will have the opportunity to experience the world of travel yourself.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and surpass sales goals
- Manage existing relationships in your territory.
- Identify potential growth areas through prospecting.
- Make presentations, prepare reports, and price quotes.
- Attend product seminars, and trade shows.
- Remain up-to-date on Aventura World products, selling advantages and special offers.
Requirements
- Well-developed presentation skills that include preparation.
- A professional demeanor and appearance.
- The wish to constantly improve their selling ability.
- Strong relationship development skills.
- A desire for networking in-person, via phone, email and social media.
- The readiness to benefit from hands-on coaching.
- A history of competitive success in business, or academics.
- The ability to travel overnight - up to 5+ nights a month
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of group travel
