The Viral Vector Workflow Development Leader for Cytiva is responsible for achievement of the viral vector sales target. This requires the ability to prospect, build relationships with customers and generate business opportunities leveraging Cytiva end-to-end solutions.

This position is part of the Genomic Medicine division focused on Viral Vectors, located in South Mid-Atlantic region (includes Maryland, Washington DC, West Virginia and Virginia) and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the gene therapy subject matter expert, by supporting Account Managers and Sales Specialists on the business and technical aspects of the gene therapy market segment, build strong relationships within and across Cytiva Opcos, and establish regular communication with local teams to strategize and win business.
  • Analyze and articulate customer and market needs, prospect all categories of gene therapy accounts from discovery to CDMO, develop relationships with customers and drive / manage opportunities in collaboration with the sales organization to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Differentiate Cytiva’s solutions and offerings, convey compelling value propositions and respond to customers’ technical questions.
  • Influence growth across all Cytiva modalities including but not limited to HyClone, Elevecta cell lines, WAVE, XDR, Pall Filtration, resins, mixers, AKTA chromatography hardware, AKTA TFF hardware, Vanrx and Biacore.
  • Prepare and present sales projections and forecasts of sales within the defined area, including budget planning for the following fiscal year.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science subject or comparable work experience.
  • Previous experience selling Cytiva and/or life sciences products OR several years of experience in direct sales role or key account management role.
  • A deep understanding of viral vector and plasmid DNA workflows to support customers’ questions and challenges as they develop processes, scale up and build / tech transfer to cGMP manufacturing facilities.
  • A demonstrated ability to work directly with customers at all levels within the organization from Process Development Scientist to CEO, CFO.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting corporate strategy, as well as product and application solutions to a technical audience is desired.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • A CRM database (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Analysis tools such as Qlik.

The salary range for this role is 82,400 to 130,000 USD Annual. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
