Sales Manager – Large Automotive Group – Loves Park, IL

A privately owned multi-franchise and multi-state dealership organization is looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Manager. This position is responsible for managing the performance & activities of the used car sales department. The goal of the Sales Manager is to achieve used vehicle sales volumes and PVR by providing training and leadership to the used car department and team members within the dealership.

This is a supervisor position; not a wholesale position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing all areas of used car department, including but not limited to Retail, Wholesale, Inventory Acquisition and Marketing
  • Train, lead, supervise and recruit sales professionals
  • Work directly with employees to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process; develop strong closing skills
  • Develop a strong and effective inventory mix and pricing to market of vehicles
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing retail sales
  • Manage all other aspects of the used car sales department
  • Coordinate with our service departments to help manage the reconditioning process of used cars

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years minimum used car management experience required
  • Must have CRM experience and have the ability to desk deals
  • Manage budgets for volume and PVR, and control expenses
  • Understands and stays informed of federal, state and local regulations
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, MS Outlook, Inventory +, V-Auto, Dealertrack DMS, VIN Solutions
  • Inventory control management is a must to help manage used car turn policy
  • Experience with high volume sales per month is a plus, must be able to multi task
  • Great communication and track record of professionalism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
