Kowa Health Care US Co, Ltd is a start-up company ready to embark on an exciting new venture to introduce a dynamic range of sports drinks to the US market. The new beverage division will cater to a growing market of health-conscious consumers looking for innovative hydration solutions. We will launch our first beverage offering, Syncron, as a nutritional sports drink in Southern California with expectations to expand across the United States. JOB TITLE:
Regional Sales Manager

REPORT TO: Sales Director

LOCATION: Southern California (Los Angeles)


JOB PURPOSE:

Manage a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSR) and distributor business in their respective region and be responsible for the success of the company in that respective region


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead team of Field Sales Representatives (FSR) toward maximizing the sale and distribution of all company products in the assigned region through the establishment and appropriate execution of local and national sales programs
  • Develop and ensure the execution of national and regional account strategies for all company products and achieve sales, profit, and market share objectives for all national and regional accounts and/or programs
  • Reward and recognize individual and team accomplishments, inspire team members to achieve peak performance by focusing on maximizing sales goals
  • Monitor performance reports and work ethic, recognize and take timely and appropriate action with marginal and underperforming employees
  • Conduct regular goal-setting and performance discussion meetings; coach on strategies that create new business and build key accounts
  • Develop, manage and/or maximize partnerships to drive improved performance
  • Use objective tools, information, and feedback to establish region and area performance goals and results
  • Ensure team executes on designed programs within National and Regional Accounts
  • Set, communicate, and manage performance expectations, monitor and appraise employee job results and performance in order to develop, counsel or provide corrective action
  • Ensure the Sales Team understands and adheres to company standards and operating procedures
  • Submit all business expenses in a timely manner according to policy
  • Travel independently to training and meetings; this may involve air travel and overnight stay depending upon location
  • Use time efficiently; set goals and objectives
  • Uphold organizational values and adhere to company policies
  • Share company values and develop others for success
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years experience displaying dynamic leadership skills to manage and motivate sales teams
  • A minimum of 3 years outstanding sales experience and track record in CPG industry (Beverage Preferred)
  • Must live within the defined geography for the region within easy access to a major airport
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Distributor and Supplier experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and training ability
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and lead sales representatives to execute the expectations of the Sales Director
  • Ability to perform physical activities required by the job duties including occasionally lifting and moving up to 65 pounds individually and greater weights with assistance
  • Ability to bend, stretch, stoop, climb, and perform other physical acts associated with selling, demonstrating, and marketing products when coaching FSRs
  • Availability for travel as required to include overnight stays

Below is required posting and listing information under the California Mandated Pay Scale Disclosure:


1. Compensation
Field Sales Representative is an exempt, salaried position. Salary offered is based on relevant sales experience at the time of hire. General range of starting salary is $58,000 - $70,000.


2. Additional Compensation

Field Sales Representatives are eligible to participate in the following additional compensation programs:

Incentive Compensation/Bonus Plan
  • Field Sales Representative are eligible to participate in the Incentive Compensation plan for the designated year. Incentive compensation is based on sales performance. Additional information regarding the incentive compensation plan may be provided during screenings and interviews.


3. Employment Benefits

Kowa offers company paid benefits to include short term disability, long term disability, and an employee life insurance policy.

Employees are eligible to participate in Kowa’s 401K plan following 90 days of employment to include a company match.

Kowa offers monthly accrued Paid Time Off in addition to leadership approved holidays.

Field Sales Representatives who meet MVR requirements are eligible to receive a company car following completion of training.
