Job Summary: The banquet bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to club members and guests during banquets and events. The banquet bartender will work closely with the Director of Sales & Events, Events Manager, Food & Beverage Director and Manager, and Executive Chef.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Arrives to work in uniform and ready to work on the floor by the time scheduled.
  • Greets members and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner and maintains a warm and friendly interactive service atmosphere.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address member/guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Setup bars for banquet events and break down, clean ant utilize closing checklist at the end o the functions.
  • Takes orders directly from guests for food and beverages and serves using proper etiquette.
  • Respond to guest request in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor guest needs and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procduedures.
  • Attend all required training sessions and meetings.
  • Monitor and adhere to all alcohol service guidelines and laws
  • Follow all club policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Events Manager, Executive Chef, or Food & Beverage Director/Manager.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.

Reports to: Directof of Sales & Events, Events Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Restaurant Managers, and Executive Chef

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1-2 years bartending experience required. Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, drink recipes, and proper mixing techniques. Excellent customer service and communication skill. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work legally in the United States.

Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow coworkers. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests or members of the community. Must display professional demeanor and communicate in professional language at all times.

Certificates/Licenses/Safety Training: State accredited Alcohol Training Certification is required within 30 days of employment. California Food Handlers Card required upon hire.
