Position Summary:
Assists VP of Sales and Support with meeting organization's sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. Assists with designing and recommending regional sales programs and implements short- and long-term regional sales strategies. Implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region’s sales volume. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Also acts as advisor to regional sales team regarding projects, tasks, workflows and operations. Creates initiatives to develop and build teamwork within the region. To be successful must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Regional Sales Manager will perform a variety of complex tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with VP of Sales and Support to meet sales objectives and quotas for regions.
  • Assist in establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales strategies for regions
  • Assist in maintaining and developing strategic regional plans and marketing alliances in order to develop a cross sell opportunity.
  • Assist in developing regional sales guides for sales team to align with company goals, initiatives and messaging.
  • Increase territory and regional market share by calling on all levels of public libraries to promote Midwest Tape products, hoopla Digital and additional related services.
  • Recommend products and services to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
  • Conduct sales presentations in person and hold on-line meetings as needed.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products and services either via on-line or in person
  • Call and/or email customers to set up appointments and follow-up on customer needs, as necessary, in order to facilitate orders.
  • Manage all bookings and logistics of business travel
  • Implement national sales programs by assisting in the development of regional sales action plans.
  • Track negotiation process for hoopla agreements in region.
  • Coordinate and review regional sales teams’ targeted revenue and client satisfaction goals.
  • Mentor and provide training to team members to assist in their professional growth
  • Work with team members to ensure accountability for the territory
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Participate in appropriate industry associations and conferences.
  • Contribute to team effort by conveying related results as needed.
  • Facilitating positive and effective teamwork throughout the organizations.
  • Complete regional sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other functions as required, including any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within Midwest Tape.

  • Experience in principles and practices of revenue generation and relationship management with senior level contacts.
  • Ability to coach and motivate sales executives so they are prepared and focused to meet their goals and objectives.

Preferred Education Requirements
:
  • BS Degree in business, related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years sales experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience with SAP, Sales Force and MS Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of account management and revenue generation experience.
