About the role

The GelBottle Inc. is on a huge growth trajectory, and we are looking to further grow our team with a Human Resources Co-ordinator who would enjoy working within a fast paced, vibrant and founder led business, spanning multiple B2B and B2C brands.

You will be responsible for the administration of all HR and people related activities for our US business. Reporting directly to the US Sales Director/Country Lead and working closely with the Global People and Talent team based in the UK, you will adapt and implement group people initiatives for the US business and partner with the US Country Lead and management team on all local people related issues.

This role will play two key roles in our team:


1. Office Administration:

  • Monitor and order snacks/lunches, kitchen, and office supplies.
  • Collect mail from the office mailbox, sort, and distribute it.
  • Route relevant emails, or escalate issues, as appropriate to department heads.
  • Review and approve administrative vendor invoices and forward them to US Finance for payment.
  • Maintain the office bulletin board to acknowledge employee birthdays, work anniversaries, and other achievements.

2. HR Co-ordination:

  • Maintain US employee data across company systems to ensure that data is always up-to-date and accurate.
  • Work with the UK team screening, interviewing and scheduling candidate interviews.
  • Ensure US employee handbooks and all HR policies are up to date, align to business need and are communicated effectively across the team.
  • Support US country lead on how to manage employee behaviour and performance and taking any subsequent action.
  • Develop and coordinate the onboarding and offboarding process for US employees.
  • Monitor trial period dates for US employees and ensure that managers complete end-of-trial reviews in a timely manner.
  • Support the UK People & Talent team, sharing monthly reports and maintaining up-to-date job descriptions for all US roles.
  • With support and guidance from the UK team, co-ordinate cyclical people processes for US team – Appraisals, Salary reviews, Talent reviews.
  • Support internal compliance with federal and state laws.

About you:

You'll bring your previous HR experience, excellent communication and articulate manner to collaborate globally with stakeholders across the UK and US. To succeed in this role, we think you'll need:

    • Bachelor degree or similar.
    • Thorough knowledge of HR laws and regulations, such as EEO, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, etc.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
    • Self-starter who is motivated to act without prompting, driven by setting & achieving goals.
    • Proficient with HR software – We use Rippling, HiBob and Team Tailor.
    • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred.
    • Proficient in "OSHA" to the list of regulations we hope them to be that would be ideal

    Previous exposure to a fast growth, global business is desirable, but ultimately oyu must enjoy working in a fast paced, commercial environment.

    • 80 hours awarded annually by accrual starting from your first day.
    • After 3 years of service, accrual increases to 96 hours annually.
    • After 5 years of service, accrual increases to 120 hours annually.
