THE ROLE
This is a sales position that requires a candidate with experience in material handling solutions sales, preferably in pallet racking and storage systems solutions. This position reports to the Sales Manager – Warehouse Solutions and is responsible for promoting warehouse products and solutions offered by Crown Lift Trucks.
- Work closely with Account Representatives, Account Managers, National Account Managers & Aftermarket Sales Representatives in promoting Crown’s Warehouse Products portfolio.
- Follow up, prepare, and quote on leads provided to you by the Sales and Customer Service Departments.
- Manage warehouse solutions projects from start to successful completion and customer satisfaction.
- Prospect 20% of the time to grow your book of business year over year and to be first to the solution.
- Meet with the Sales Manager monthly to review metrics and plan activities.
- Report on all leads and projects by maintaining a running project list.
- Schedule, organize, and communicate with Crown sales co-ordination, vendors, and installation teams prior to and during projects to ensure smooth project execution and implementation.
- Participate in sales training programs.
- Work with the in-house Auto Cad Specialist to produce warehouse storage systems solutions drawings for customers.
- Assume lead role for all warehouse solutions projects.
- Work closely with Sales to ensure storage and truck solutions work for the customer.
- Gather and prepare all customer project permit paperwork if necessary.
- Review all customer quotes and drawings as needed and revise as required.
- Attend all sales meetings and assist Sales Manager in preparing agenda items to discuss during these meetings.
- Maximize field sales time in the field in front of customers.
- Develop and maintain maximum customer contact with current customers to promote repeat business.
- Assist in developing current and future forecasts for the sales territory, including a territory market plan.
- Maintain a professional image as a representative of Crown Lift Trucks that will enhance the image of Crown Lift Trucks and the products and programs we offer.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE
- University Degree or College diploma.
- Computer ability in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong desire to exceed in a sales environment. Experience in solutions selling is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Well organized.
- Superior Project Management skills.
- Professional appearance.
- 3 years plus experience in material handling/pallet racking systems sales is preferred.
- Auto Cad drawing proficiency is preferred.
