Job Description
SCOPE - Full-time. Generally works Monday-Friday, with occasional evening or weekend hours.
Description - Works directly with clients to book, schedule, plan, and coordinate banquet and meeting events for member club and executive conference center clients. With an emphasis on hospitality and customer service, creates personalized solutions and serves as the interface between the client and facility for both social and business events. Works in a team environment to bring the vision of an event to reality with production through internal departments. Once event details are finalized, turns booked events over to banquet managers for execution and delivery.
Qualifications - Practical knowledge of social customs, etiquette, and fine food and beverage is desired. Professional demeanor, poise, and excellent interpersonal skills with refined verbal and written communication skills. Successful candidate will enjoy creating exceptional experiences for others in a refined atmosphere.
Requirements include:
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Extensive experience in customer service
- Proven knowledge of event/meeting planning sales
- Professional phone and written correspondence skills
- Knowledge of social customs and related etiquette
- Refined food and beverage knowledge
- Education, and experience equivalent to a 4 year college degree in hospitality business with 2 or more years related experience
Who You Are - A well-spoken, punctual, reliable, detail-oriented team player with excellent organizational and customer service skills. Your track record should show that you're able to work well independently and be supportive in a team environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to follow multi-step, multi-faceted processes and look ahead to consider how changes will impact a process. Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Publisher with accurate typing skills are required. An experienced meeting planner is preferred, and Jonas Management Software experience would be a plus, but neither are required.
