Job Description
Position Purpose:
Serves as a primary point of contact for an ever-growing customer base with a focus on defining technically competent solutions to customer-specific problems using VTI’s knowledge base and portfolio of products. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for reviewing customer requests, specifications, and drawings to develop cost-competitive processes and solutions congruent with industry standards and best practice. The Technical Sales Engineer will work to provide proposals and quotations for new and existing customers as a member of the Product Management Team.
Principal Duties:
· Works directly with customers to define and understand their needs/requirements, both for individual projects and overall account management relationships
· Provides technical guidance and expertise to customers based on experience and industry best practices
· Identifies appropriate solutions to customer-specific problems using VTI’s product portfolio
· Prepares pricing and proposals for custom vacuum, leak testing, and specialized industrial equipment
· Serves as overall project lead and point of contact for systems/projects in which you are involved
· Provides clear technical guidance to design/software/production departments to execute the solution proposed to the customer
· Guides the overall course and schedule of projects in which you are involved
· Identifies sales and market opportunities based on the ever-changing industrial landscape
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
· Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering or project management role
· Hands on aptitude with an understanding of practices and manufacturing techniques used in industry
· Strong Interpersonal skills for consensus building with internal and external customers
· Clear written and verbal communicator
· Driver’s license and ability to travel
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to adapt to a fast paced, small company environment where meeting the customer needs takes top priority
· Possesses a strong willingness to learn all facets of the vacuum and leak detection systems business and reach beyond their initially defined role.
· Preference for experienced candidates with vacuum, leak testing, and/or industrial CapEx projects
Pay Rate and Benefits:
· A competitive compensation is offered commensurate with education and experience

This position is offered with a broad salary range. Final salary determination will be based upon education and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
