Job Description
FUNCTION/POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Manages, directs, and coordinates efforts to maximize sales and service for Tiger equipment within an assigned geographical area. Achieves annual measurable growth within territory as set by Director of Sales. Conducts dealer and product education training. Controls inventory receivables within territory. Serve as a key link in company/dealer communication process. Successful candidate must live in their territory.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
I. Sales
A. Meet Sales goals for an assigned geographical area. Must live in territory.
B. Responsible for supporting existing dealer accounts and prospecting for new dealer accounts within assigned territory.
C. Prepares and submits sales forecasts as requested for use in planning and managing dealer inventories.
D. Leverages SalesForce.com as a required planning tool for your sales territory.
E. Promotes Tiger products by assisting dealers with retail sales calls, demonstration of new products, and assisting with product support issues of Tiger product.
F. Responsible for parts sales, merchandising, and promoting aftermarket products for assigned area of responsibility.
G. Develops territory sales plan and budget annually.
II. Dealer Relations
A. Establishes and maintains a dealer channel for area of responsibility to achieve maximum sales results.
B. Acts as a liaison between the company and dealer organization to assure proper information is provided regarding product, pricing, accounting, credit, warranty, and other business activities with the company.
C. Ensures adequate repair parts are promoted and stocked by dealer organizations.
D. Attends and supports dealers with trade shows and demonstrations
E. Conducts product training for dealer personnel as required to grow sales and promote the Tiger product line.
F. Supplies dealer organization with promotional and advertising materials.
III. Collection
A. Calls on dealers for sales, collection of receivables, resolving disputes accounts, and monitoring unpaid inventory.
B. Collects accounts receivables on a timely basis and attempts to prevent occurrences of past due accounts, dealer defaults, and bad debts from uncollectible accounts.
IV. Product Support/Product Resolution
A. Manages technical problems or product support issues as they arise within warranty procedures and provide resolution for dealers and customers.
B. Reports new technical or product issues to technical support team at Tiger Corporation.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Good communication and negotiation skills
2. Strong technical knowledge of either construction, agricultural, or municipal equipment.
3. Must be a self starter, has the ability to plan and organize their own work schedule.
4. Extensive travel (75%) and non-traditional hours.
5. Understanding of production processes, maintenance and equipment operation.
6. Technical College/Associates Degree (2 year degree) minimum. College degree preferred.
7. At least 5 years sales experience.
8. Excellent driving record (Insurable)
