Seeking a Dynamic Sales Engineer!*

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated having worked in a sales engineering role for manufacturers in the electrical power equipment industry. He/she will work in the alternative energy market with OEM’s, Developers, Contractors, and our Manufacturing Representatives and Distributor partners. They must have experience working with electrical power schematics identifying AC and DC voltage products for ASG design/build process.

Essential Duties, Abilities and Responsibilities*

  • This position requires having worked with electrical power systems and communicating with engineers, project managers and procurement departments as well as other sales engineers. Technical background in electrical products is required.
  • Responsible for prospecting and developing new customers as well as manage existing customers which includes creating a sales opportunity pipeline and closing projects.
  • Utilize Company CRM package - TDF for managing and tracking sales opportunities.
  • Ability to create sales proposals, run Zoom Meetings, close customer orders, and manage project workflow from beginning to completion, including after sales support.
  • Work with ASG engineering, procurement, and production Team to manage project / customer needs.
  • Understand and follow ASG’s IS09001 operational processes from sales through order processing, manufacturing, shipment, and project closing.

Requirements:
*
Experience / Education:*

  • Minimum 3-5 years working in a sales/engineering role selling electrical power products.
  • Must have sales/customer service relationship skills working in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Proficiency in use of basic Microsoft Office programs and utility our Epicor MRP (manufacturing resource planning) system to create proposals and support customer requirements.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, and have ability to multi-task with a high level of self-accountability
  • Have experience working in the electrical contract manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
