Job Overview
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for selling, developing and planning catered events in and around San Diego County. Work closely with our chefs and management team to create the best of the best offsite events that successfully represent the UKG brand.
Responsiblilites
- Work directly with the Owner and Culinary Director to develop sales strategies and overall management of our catering division.
- Establish sales objectives by creating a plan and quotas.
- Generate business through outside sales calls and prompt response to customer inquiries.
- Complete monthly and annual sales reports.
- Prepare contracts and catering event orders.
- Determine costs, set up and staffing needs for events.
- Oversee, train and support onsite event managers + team members.
- Attend and support offsite managers + leads at events.
- Participate in industry and community organizations to build customer base.
- Develop and maintain positive and financially beneficial relationships with vendors.
- Work with Owner and Marketing Manager on sales and marketing initiatives.

- Complete understanding of on-site event execution and service standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
- Reliable, accountable, and punctual.
- Working knowledge and expertise in use of event software - experience with TripleSeat is a plus.
- Working knowledge of computer word processing programs and restaurant POS programs.
- Working knowledge of safety and sanitation.
- Ability to work a varied schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Drive to meet and exceed goals.
- Passionate about everything hospitality with a strong knowledge of food, wine and service.
Compenstation: $66560 + Commission
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,560.00 per year
