Willamette Falls Paper Company, a dynamic leader in the paper production industry known for innovative products and sustainable practices, seeks an experienced and visionary Director of Sales to spearhead our sales and marketing initiatives. With a rich 130-year history in papermaking, our company prides itself on manufacturing various coated and uncoated paper products used in catalogs, magazines, commercial printings, specialty print applications and envelopes. This role will be focused on the West Coast and is crucial for driving our sales growth within these markets, expanding our reach, and further establishing our commitment to quality and sustainability.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: In collaboration with the Executive Team, define and execute sales strategies that align with our unique product offerings, including coated, C1S, envelope, and uncoated grades. Implement comprehensive sales plans to enhance revenue and market share while developing opportunities for new products.
- Team Management and Training: Lead and inspire the Sales team toward achieving excellence in product knowledge, sales tactics, and customer service. Instill a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Sales Performance and Forecasting: Closely monitor sales metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets. Utilize forecasting to inform and optimize overall business planning.
- Relationship Building: Forge enduring relationships with key industry players and customers, understanding their specific needs to connect them with our tailored solutions. Serve as the point person for cross-functional efforts to deliver unmatched customer service experience.
- Market Intelligence: Keep the pulse on the paper industry, focusing on emerging trends and competitor strategies. Utilize insights to steer Willamette Falls Paper Company's product development and marketing strategies.
- Sales Process: Embrace and integrate the latest technology and sales tools to streamline the sales process and enrich customer interactions.
- Required Experience and Qualifications
- Industry Expertise:Must have a solid background in the paper, print or related industry, with a keen understanding of the coated and uncoated paper markets. Specific knowledge of Willamette Falls Paper Company's product lines and customers is strongly preferred.
- Strategic Sales: A proven track record in developing and executing effective sales strategies, from conception to successful closure of deals.
- Solution-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to develop customer-centric solutions that meet the evolving needs of the West Coast market.
- Travel Requirement: Ideally located on the West Coast with a willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with clients and stakeholders directly.
- Academic Credentials: A BA/BS degree or equivalent in a related field.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
