Job Description

Charleston, SC – The Marketing Manager specializes in marketing strategy, account management, campaign & media planning, and oversight of executed strategy. This person will also lead strategic thinking of brand voice and standards online and offline. The Marketing Manager works closely with the Operations team, Hotel General Managers, and the Revenue Management Team to determine revenue goals and expectations. The Marketing Manager then drives the developed strategy, by communicating internally with the Project Management and Creative Team.

This position is a hybrid office role and must live in the Charleston, SC area.

Directives:

  • Annual marketing and campaign plan development based on seasonality, month and segmentation
  • Annual marketing budget based on property goals
  • Ongoing planning for various properties
  • Manage onboarding marketing for select new development and hotel takeovers (from brand development and collateral needs to ongoing digital strategy)
  • Relationship management with operations, owners, and shareholders

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the development of marketing plans and strategy
  • Act as the liaise between internal departments (Project Management, Creative, Revenue Management, Operations), on-property team, vendors, and clients
  • Keep the Vice President of Marketing informed of client activities and challenges
  • Ability to present marketing plans and budgets to clients
  • Prepare monthly marketing reports
  • Travel to properties during onboarding and throughout the year may be required

  • High level understanding of hospitality platforms and systems: PMS, CRS, POS, etc.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, hospitality or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience to marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience to hospitality
