Job Overview

LightEm' Lights the leader in permanent lighting is in search of a strategic and proactive General Manager to lead the business unit including the overall sales and business development activities for the Company’s products in North America. The location of this role is in Texas.

This executive shall be instrumental in leading the company’s business unit in California with about 10GW worth of modules supplied per year. This is a crucial role with high visibility in the industry and provides ample global exposure; the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to interface with local stakeholders as well as internal peers and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership for the business unit in accordance with organizational policies and goals and with a particular focus on sales.
Review and improve the existing sales structure of the organization. Develop, refine, and implement processes and structures, as needed.
Develop, implement and monitor short-term and long-term business strategies and initiatives.
Drive sales and strategic targeting of key markets and clients and leverage existing connections in the industry for business growth opportunities.

Must have Canvassing sales experience

· Oversee the recruiting and training of new and experienced sales reps

· Oversee the production of sales offices by selling and leading by example

Manage and execute assigned projects, including interfacing with other company divisions or functional groups.
Lead and develop staff members to meet organizational goals and objectives.
Serve as a change agent for business improvements, new initiatives, policies, and processes.
Provide strategic leadership to the team and guide coaching of team leaders.
Develop sales budgets, marketing strategies and forecasts.
Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the markets, the industry, and key players who drive / influence investment decisions.
Responsible for maintaining a stable and effective profit margin for the business unit.
Support and participate in local and global trade fairs, conferences, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications

Several years of experience in sales, business development and/or key account management with substantial experience in operations and general management within the renewable energy industry / a multi-disciplinary technical environment.

Extensive sales background and client relationship building within the targeted markets in the USA is required.

Strong track-record managing a sales budget is required; P&L experience, even on a divisional level, is preferred.

Excellent sales-related skills set, including knowledge of the sales process, ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, enhance comprehensive sales proposals, and negotiate contracts.

Ability to sell at all levels of management and build and foster business relationships.

Previous experience managing teams and developing sales professionals.

An existing network of industry contacts in relevant industries is highly desirable.
