Position Overview:
We are seeking a 3PL Account Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for assigned client accounts, ensuring smooth handling of orders, shipping issues, and customer inquiries. This role requires someone highly organized and adaptable, capable of coordinating shipments, solving problems on the fly, and learning Warehouse Management System (WMS) software quickly. As the main point of contact for clients, the ideal candidate will build strong relationships and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily orders to ensure all shipments are processed and dispatched on time.
- Coordinate with operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve shipping delays, inventory issues, or order discrepancies.
- Handle customer inquiries and proactively address problems to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
- Monitor WMS software and maintain accurate order and inventory records.
- Collaborate with internal teams (warehouse, IT, and sales) to implement tailored logistics solutions.
- Identify growth opportunities by upselling additional services and suggesting process improvements.
- Track and report on KPIs, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Stay informed about industry trends to anticipate client needs and provide strategic insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in account management or logistics operations, ideally within a 3PL environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with WMS software or the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client and vendor interactions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Self-motivated, with a customer-first mindset and attention to detail.
