Artic Machinery Ltd. is a BC heavy machinery dealership based out of Prince George, BC. We are the BC distributor for XCMG heavy equipment, the 3rd largest manufacturer of heavy equipment products worldwide. Their product line encompass all major industries including forestry, mining, oil and gas, and civil works.
We have an immediate opening for a Territory Sales Manager to help us increase our sales revenues and maintain customer relationships within an assigned geographical area. In this role, we seek outstanding organizational and sales skills. We expect you to be an excellent communicator who understands customers needs. Ultimately, you will ensure clients’ happiness and search for ways to help us grow our business.
Responsibilities:
1. Devise effective territory sales and marketing strategies;
2. Analyze data to find the most efficient sales methods;
3. Meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions;
4. Discover sales opportunities through consumer research;
5. Present products and services to prospective customers;
6. Participate in industry or promotional events (ie. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships;
7. Conduct training in sales techniques and company product attributes;
8. Monitor competition within assigned region;
9. Developing and maintaining customer relationships within assigned region;
10. Building strong positive relationships and communication within all levels of the company.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Territory Manager; minimum 2 years preferred;
2. Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; heavy equipment sales experience is preferred;
3. Ability to develop sales strategies;
4. Excellent communication skills;
5. Organizational and leadership ability;
6. Problem solving aptitude;
7. Cold calling ability with the skills to generate new business;
8. Ability to effectively negotiate;
9. Ability to work both independently and in a group setting while managing time and territory effectively;
10. Self-motivated, organized and with strong ability to prioritize;
11. Excellent verbal and presentation skills in a group or one on one setting;
12. Ability to prepare and deliver efficient customized sales proposals and presentations;
13. Proficient computer skills;
Territory Managers will work closely with Branch Sales Managers to develop sales programs, forecasting, and strategies to attain annual sales targets.
