Summary

Responsible for leading sales team to reach sales targets. This job should be about 70% in the field with reps at appointments or making calls. The other 30% would be for administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintain knowledge of product line and services through use of vendor websites, product launch kits, and other available tools.

· Assist in analyzing and developing sales processes.

· Identify individual and team training needs.

· Responsible for onboarding and training new sales staff.

· Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing sales team.

· Manage, recruit, set objectives, coach, and monitor performance of sales representatives.

· Provide hands on field support for sales team.

· Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

· Manage named accounts and/or territory as assigned.

· Attend networking events.

· Assist in maintaining vendor relationships.

· Responsible for effective use of CRM.

· Responsible for maintaining a positive sales culture.

· Plan and schedule level of support needed from staff, including standard work schedules, approve/deny time off requests, overtime management, timesheet management and adjustments.

· Assist with, or prepare and update organization SOP’s.

· Conduct team meetings and trainings as required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises Account Managers in the Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred, along with 5+ years as a sales representative, or 3+ years as a sales manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Advanced understanding of basic office applications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Vendor level certifications as required.

Travel Requirements: This position will require travel to client locations in our geographical territory. This position will consist of approximately 70% travel within a 200-mile radius.
