How You'll Perform the Role
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse base of existing customers, identify and secure new business development opportunities, and be a market ambassador while achieving the overall sales plan.
Job Duties
- Establish wide and deep relationships with the existing customer base.
- Search for new business within and outside of the customer base.
- Secure and build accurate forecasts for long term planning purposes.
- Work closely with the pricing team to maintain healthy margins.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Customer Service team to ensure healthy customer fill rates and manage any supply and service challenges.
- Plan and present business reviews with Key Accounts.
- Provide Monthly Sales Reports for Sales Manager and detail key activities and action plans.
- Utilize new and existing sales tools and methodologies (i.e. CRM) to track and win new opportunities
- Oversees the coordination of meetings for all teams reporting to the National Sales Manager- Food Packaging Canada
- Fosters close cooperative relationships with all internal stakeholders
- Any other duties as assigned by Management
What We Need From You
- Post-Secondary Education
- Min 5 years of related experience is required
- Experience coordinating projects, developing project plans, and completing projects on time and on budget
- Has a passion for winning by motivating themselves and internal stakeholders towards achieving results
- Must be able to analyze information and think systematically
- Knowledge of the packaging industry an asset. CPG experience is also considered beneficial
- Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with superior skills in Excel
- Team player and capable of thinking outside the box
- Detail-oriented and able to accurately proofread sales data
- Ability to make sound, timely, and accurate judgments while supporting reasoning for decisions
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
- Some travel may be required
- Working Trade shows when required
