Position Overview
The Regional Contractor Sales Manager is a highly accomplished and innovative sales leader with extensive experience selling to medium and large sized electrical contractors (EC); plus, knowledge and understanding working with construction delivery teams including electrical procurement construction (EPC) firms, general contractors / contract managers (GC/CM) and engineering (EE) firms. Goals include growing revenue, driving preference, and increasing specification position for Hubbell Electrical Solutions (HES) product portfolio. The person is self-motivated but able to work as part of a team, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines, changing priorities while achieving corporate objectives. Southeast territory Includes: GA, NC, SC, TN, VA, AL, MS, & FL.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build relationships with targeted contractors including electrical, general, EPC and engineering groups.
- Develop and manage construction opportunities for HES products from conception to close.
- Collaborate and engage with HES sales team in assigned region.
- Participate in industry trade shows.
- Drive HES engagement with industry organization like IBEW, NECA, Electrical Training Alliance and IEC.
- Track and manage projects utilizing Sales Force.
- Provide project updates.
- Contribute insight to market conditions and changes.
- Coordinate sales strategy with HES marketing and product teams.
Skills and Experience
- BA/BS preferred with 10 years of industry experience
- Minimum of ten years in customer facing roles in the electrical industry.
- Minimum of ten years selling through electrical distributors.
- Minimum of ten years promoting products to electrical contractor
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional group presenter.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Understands and utilizes Salesforce.
- Skilled facilitator experienced resolving conflicts.
- Team leader with record of collaboration and engagement.
- Project management: develop projects; coordinate projects; communicate project status; lead project team activities.
- Demonstrates ability to deliver against deadlines and product high quality results.
- Flexible, readily accepts change and open to new insights.
- 60- 70% multi-day travel
