Job Description

Summary

The Account Manager will promote and sell the company’s K-12 Educational Furniture products through effective customer prospecting, sales techniques and customer service by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Promote and sell products and services to customers and prospects.

  • Develop thorough product knowledge of multiple furniture lines
  • Find, attract and develop prospects into new and repeat customers.
  • Manage assigned client list of new and existing customers.
  • Project a professional image to customers at all times.
  • Effectively utilize CRM tools to develop sales opportunities and time management.
  • Provide customers with product demonstrations, presentations, options and quotations.
  • Respond to customer and company requests in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Sales Assistants and other company associates to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Learn and support sales policies and procedures, including creating proposals and vendor orders.
  • Local travel required - must have reliable transportation.
  • Attend local trade shows, including setup and staffing of company exhibit booth.
  • Cooperatively perform other related duties as assigned.

Vision

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision,

depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Sales experience is a plus, not a requirement

Years of Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in business-to-business sales.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business is beneficial.

  • Use mathematics to perform product pricing and furniture layout tasks.
