Sales Engineer
Easy Automation Inc. is seeking to add an additional Sales Engineer to our team. The candidate will assist our sales team by working with our feed and agronomy clients and customers to understand their needs by completing quotes, designing process flow diagrams, and other documentation necessary to complete the order. This person will work closely with both our sales and engineering teams, as well as with our customers to ensure accuracy in both quotation and system design, within our feed and agronomy divisions.
Job Responsibilities:
Work closely with both the customer and other EAI sales team members during the pre-sale process, to design, plan, and implement equipment layout drawings utilizing Autodesk Inventor.
Create applicable pricing and quotes for controls systems based on the project/customer requirements.
Obtain all relevant project information and specifications to support EAI’s Electrical Engineering team throughout the panel fabrication and programming phases of the project.
Serve as the technical liaison between the customer and internal team members as questions or obstacles arise during all phases of the project.
Be a valued member of the sales team by collaborating with other sales engineers, marketing, sales assistants, the VP of Sales, as well as other Regional Managers.
Occasional travel to customer sites to gather information on the customer’s requirements needed to provide equipment and/or controls system specifications. As well as travel to customer sites for a final inspection/start-up (specifically for larger equipment projects). Travel is expected to be 10-15%. Overnight travel on occasion (less than 5% of the time).
Occasionally attend tradeshows and other networking opportunities.
Detailed utilization of Salesforce (CRM) to track activity and record customer information.
Responsible for a quota on levels of activity as well as end results (opportunities created then sold, etc.).
Additional duties and roles as needed.
Job Requirements:
Applicable work experience specifically in feed manufacturing, feed operations, grain handling, agronomy blending automation/equipment, bulk material handling, food processing, electrical engineering, or similar.
Preferred but not required, possess a Two- or Four-year degree in Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Ag Systems Technology, Feed Science and Management, or similar.
General familiarity with electrical engineering principles and control panel design.
Knowledge of the feed, grain, and/or agronomy industries is preferred but not required.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Familiarity with CAD software (ideally Inventor or AutoCAD) and PLC programming is preferred, but not required.
Basic knowledge and understanding of PLC programming.
Comfortable with CAD software (preferably Inventor or AutoCAD).
Proficiency in phone and computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and CRM software experience.
Excellent written, communication, and problem-solving skills to be applied through face-to-face, over-the-phone, and email connections.
Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be able be able to tolerate dust and dirt environments and climb ladders, grain legs, or similar (most applicable when visiting customer sites).
Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted and sit, stand, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, or squat several times a day.

This position has the ability to work in our Welcome, Mankato, or Chanhassen office locations, with the opportunity to work hybrid/remote once approved/as determined by management. Required training for this position would be in our Welcome and Mankato offices. Occasional travel between office locations will be required during the training period and during the course of employment.
