Job Description

Responsible for the management and use of your Business Development Center (BDC) and Training in the assigned zone. You will be responsible for facility management, building maintenance, and scheduling/delivering training classes for regional and national markets. Travel could be as much as 50%. Travel locations may be domestic or international. Some assignments will require travel and work outside of local area such as any location in North America or any other continent. You will be based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure building maintenance, training inventories and related budget activities are managed. Also responsible for facility safety requirements, EHS compliance, other facility personnel and implementation of policies.
  • Ensure high use of facility/instructor assets by planning training that enhances Refinish sales growth and customer relations.
  • Assign trainers to work on field trials of new or modified products and related equipment for PPG and competitors.
  • Work with local Zone Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Territory Mgrs., Commercial sales personnel and PPG Distributors to support sales activities in the assigned geographic region to enhance sales growth of PPG products.
  • Maintain personal knowledge as it relates to the curriculum and market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or minimum of 6 years of experience in the automotive refinish field including refinish paint systems: PPG Automotive, and PPG Commercial.
  • You will need a valid passport.
  • Will conduct formal classroom presentations, shop demonstrations, and projects.
