Job Description
*** Position Based in Reno Nevada**
Develop and create new business through internal as well as external channels that enables the hotel(s) in the portfolio to meet and/or exceed the room revenue goals in each hotel across multiple markets by soliciting business across all market segments to maximize the overall positioning of the hotels.
Duties of Director of Sales:
· Prospect and solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
· Handle the interaction, selling and closing of group sales leads generated from the hotels. Develop new business for the hotel portfolio through lead generation, cold calling and other business development measures
· Promptly prepares correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance/database entry.
· Achievement of stringent targets, the job holder will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call.
· Fosters a positive and sales focused team attitude to all departments and maintains open communications with all team members and brand representatives for the best overall performance of the hotels.

· Participates in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings
Qualifications:
Education:
· Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, or other business-related field preferred.
Experience:
· 3 - 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role (hospitality, retail, food service preferred), Desired candidate would have 3-4 years’ work experience in a hospitality sales experience
