Job Description

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for managing business sales teams and managers of sales teams toward attainment of goals and operational performance metrics. The Director of Sales will also be responsible for meeting revenue goals, maintaining staff headcount through hiring, identifying process and product gaps, and meeting expense budget levels.

Essential Functions:

  • Sales strategy and execution to meet sales targets (50%): Develops sales goals and sales strategy for the market segment based upon segment objectives Responsible for meeting revenue goals for applicable channels Responsible for driving A sales activity, customer interaction and meeting sales quotas
  • Build, manage and support thriving sales team (30%): Responsible for the coaching and development of sales team to maximize individual contribution This position requires analysis and reporting from multiple systems and sources to monitor progress towards goals and objectives Implements sales and service support for new product introductions and new processes while ensuring alignment across existing sales, quality measurements and productivity. This includes strong leadership and accountability for the success of the channel team-s results while ensuring optimal performance. Manages customer expectations and executes post-mortems to ensure that coaching gaps are closed and customer loyalty remains high
  • Cross functional strategy and teamwork (20%): Aiding Marketing, IT, and Product teams in a cross-functional effort to drive best results for sales, the Hawaiian Telcom brand, product launches and system upgrades

Education:

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

  • N/A

Relevant Work Experience:

8 to 10 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience Telecommunications experience preferred.
  • Sales Management experience required.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has one or more employee direct reports

Salary Range: $115,000 - $184,000
