Our Allstate Agency is family operated and one of the top producing offices in the U.S., currently ranked in the top 50 out of 10,000. This company is well-established, yet young and rapidly growing which provides a long-term career opportunity.

My wife and I write new business full-time while I also handle the higher-level business operations responsibilities. We have an existing Office Operations Manager (OOM) who runs the day to day logistics. Our business has grown substantially over the last three years. We are in need of high-level management support, and thus are expanding/restructuring our managerial team to reflect: (1) Senior Operations Manager [your role] to oversee (2) Department Managers-- Sales Manager and Office Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our current Office Operations Manager will transition to the Sales Manager role after onboarding you for several months. Therefore, you will enjoy a very thorough, hands-on introduction to all facets of our business. Once trained you will hire an Office Manager to oversee that division.

Report directly to Owner/CEO. Lead a team of 10-15 employees. Directly oversee multiple areas of operation including our sales division which generates over $4,000,000 of raw new insurance premium per year as well as our client services division which manages over 4,000 existing policies. Additionally, you will take over all high-level operational management responsibilities: Staffing, Employee Development, HR, Payroll facilitation, Budgeting (minor part of the job), assisting the Owner/CEO with strategic planning and ensuring high-level business objectives are met.

You will work with a certain level of autonomy straight out of the gate while also working closely with the Owner/CEO to collaborate on strategic decisions in certain areas.

Your Purpose is to take ownership and accountability for all phases of the day to day business operations in order to alleviate the Owner/CEO to allow him to focus his time on growing the business via SALES & high-level strategic planning.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise Department Managers (Sales Manager, Office Manager)
  • Work with other managers to oversee & impact the operational efficiency of multiple departments
  • Work with department managers to meet staffing needs by spearheading all hiring activity, a to z, with final approval on new hires
  • Monitor and foster long-term Employee Evaluation & Development plans, directly handle all performance evaluations
  • Oversee all New Employee Onboarding efforts, training plans, employee competency checks
  • Assist with Payroll by approving staff payroll figures and submitting to owner for review
  • Directly handle all Human Resources activity: record-keeping, tracking PTO, Benefits & 401k enrollments, Staff coaching sessions and terminations
  • Prepare executive reports forKPI, Financials, Production with accompanying Data Analysis and insight when appropriate
  • Monitor high-level business objectives and make strategic adjustments as needed to ensure all goals are met
  • Work with department managers to handlecommunications with 3rd party vendors, property managers or other entities as needed
  • Manage Budgets across multiple departments

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional, well-rounded Technology skills to ensure you can set up workstations and troubleshoot problems to avoid wasting time and money on 3rd party resolution; “the buck stops with you” as they say.
  • (5) Years Operational Management(office/business) with direct experience creating reports for executives and operational problem-solving specifically with office issues & business technology issues.
  • (5) Years Staff & Manager Supervision across multiple departments with legitimate experience in team leadership and positively affecting environment.
  • (3) Years Hiring Operations with direct experience in campaign & ad development, candidate targeting, screening/interviewing and budget maintenance.
  • Extensive, direct experience with Human Resources Activities
  • Extensive, direct experience with strategic business & financial planning in order to impact KPI
  • Strong familiarity with creating executive level reports and presentations via Excel, PPT; Google Drive and Google Suite experience required

LOGISTICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Overall Hours: you must have flexibility to work additional hours when necessary. 50+ hours would not be a routine occurrence, but it will occur.
  • Availability: this role requires some occasional obligations before normal business hours to receive communications from staff members for call-outs and meet virtually with the Owner as needed.

COMPENSATION:

  • Year 1 Earnings: $85-95,000 expected
  • Base Salary: $70,000
  • Bonuses: $25,000 available across multiple bonuses
  • Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, Disability with Employer contributions
  • Retirement: 401(k) with lucrative Employer contributions

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
