Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is currently searching for a Field Sales Representative on behalf of our client, a recognized leader in providing solutions to the energy sector. The company is well-established in another Atlantic province and is now expanding into the Nova Scotia market.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new customer opportunities within Nova Scotia to grow the client base
  • Travel across the province to establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and represent the company’s solutions
  • Regularly contact customers to nurture connections, address inquiries, and promote products and services
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to customer needs and ensure high satisfaction levels
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver presentations or proposals to showcase company offerings effectively

Requirements:

  • Excellent sales presentation and relationship-building skills to engage and retain customers
  • Proven experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies, with a focus on new business development
  • Demonstrated customer service and communication skills, with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively
  • Proven track record in sales, including achieving and exceeding targets
  • Familiarity with Nova Scotia's geography and industrial sectors, including potential customers
  • Strong knowledge of the Maritime energy and industrial marketplace is required
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote role, spending the majority of time on the road, while also collaborating effectively with team members.
  • A reliable, professional, and presentable vehicle suitable for frequent travel throughout Nova Scotia
  • A degree or certification in Instrumentation, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is considered an asset
  • Technical knowledge or experience in instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, or controls is an asset

Our client offers:

  • Salary is $60,000 per year
  • Commission plan based on performance
  • The schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 5 pm, with some flexibility
