Industrial Account Manager’s primary responsibilities include inside and outside customer relations, sales, project management, material and tool procurement, maintaining margin goals, and field employee supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Develop and maintain Plant and Facilities customer relationships.
- Ensure customers are served within their time requirements.
- Oversee quality of craftsmanship.
- Estimate service projects.
- Manage projects.
- Promote and uphold all Piper Electric Company Inc., company and safety policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations to the Director of Operations to increase overall department efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
- The Account Manager is responsible for helping the accounting staff with the collection of past-due invoices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of National Electrical Code
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Skilled at organizing for efficiency, dealing with last minute changes
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures, customer relations, job scheduling, and estimating. Strong interpersonal, communication, sales and social interaction skills.
- Strong math
- Basic engineering
- Good verbal and written English
- PC literate (Bluebeam, Excel, and Accubid)
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- B.S. Degree in Construction Management
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 years as a field electrician
- 4 years as a Field Manager or Service Technician
- 3 years as an Account Manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to travel to remote and sometimes rough job sites.
- Extended work hours either in the office or on site.
- Ability to lift 60 lb. loads to pick up bed level.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:
- Valid Colorado Driver’s license, current Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
Note: This position requires 45-50 hours per week.
Base salary - $85 - $100K DOE
