Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Field Sales Manager to join our fast growing, Marine Electronic client's team. Their innovative products have changed the marine industry by providing customers with a “better way” to protect their vessels from biofouling. Their products have been installed on dozens of the major OEMs. If you are looking to join an innovative, dynamic company with proven executive leadership, then this position provides an excellent opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals
- Manage and lead the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in the technology sales sector
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective account management
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
- Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and concerns promptly
- Lead business development initiatives to expand market presence

Skills and Experience:

  • Prior sales experience in direct-to-consumer marine, yacht, boat and/or accessory equipment.
  • Consultative selling and interactive relationship building with yacht dealers.
  • Successful sales record in similar industries such as powersport accessories,
  • appliances, electronics, consumer durables, or other direct to consumer and dealership businesses.
  • Proficiency in sales processes, systematic follow-up and high level of independent motivation.
  • Proven self-starter with a positive “can do” attitude and ability to close.
  • Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethic & integrity on the job.
  • Prior sales experience in direct-to-consumer marine, boat, yacht, or accessory equipment business or related industry performing in-person sales.
  • Ability to respond during all times, including weekends or after-hours, to in-bound leads from potential customers and provide guidance to complete the sale.
  • Ability to meet prospects, owners, captains, dealers and brokers on boats as necessary.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel extensively with possible weekends during trade show events.
  • Associate’s degree or relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience in the marine industry.
  • Participate in trade-shows, Dealer and OEM events, and field after-hour sales calls.
  • Ability to represent company with knowledge, enthusiasm and sincerity over the phone and in person.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Experienced with CRM systems such as Pipedrive, Freshdesk or SalesForce, and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

  • Up to 75% travel
