Job Description
SUMMARY: We are looking for a talented and competitive individual to fill this entry level sales position within our team of Beatties Business Edge Specialists.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contact customers regularly to maintain customer loyalty, increase share of business within account and maximize customer awareness of Beatties products and services. Provide back-up coverage for our Order Desk Team as required.
Existing Account Base:
- Beatties will provide the successful candidate with a sales base of current Beatties Business Edge customers to which you will earn a monthly commission based on sales.
- You will be required to grow business within this base by providing pricing and product solutions tailored to the individual accounts needs.
- Create and maintain custom account based pricing plans.
- Strive to achieve sales targets and monthly quotas.
- Required to use our Customer Relationship Software to document your account activity.
New Account Development
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
- Adhere to new business procedures, documenting activity in our Customer Relationship Software.
- Strive to achieve monthly activity targets.
- Prepare and present business proposals to potential customers.
Order Desk Team Support
- Provide backup support as needed for Order Desk.
- Take inbound telephone customer inquiries and orders.
- Process customer fax/emailed orders.
- Source out special-order products.
- Provide support to customers through our online chat software.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain a knowledge of Beattie’s products, business services, people and resources.
- Maintain knowledge of products, industry trends and competitive market trends.
- Attend team sales meetings, training and other events as directed.
- Respond to internal requests and needs in a timely fashion.
- Provide sales reports to Department Manager as requested.
- Review with Manager compliance with company set sales targets, which may change from time to time at the company’s sole discretion.
- All other duties assigned.
- Requirements and skills:
- Consistent attendance is a must.
- Inside Sales and Customer Service experience (1 year minimum).
- Strong phone skills.
- Experience with CRM.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
- Dedication to continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
