Job Description

Job Summary

Assist and support the entire procurement team with various Supply Chain related activities. This will include procurement ordering, expediting, inventory management, supplier order confirmations, customer service notifications, and other activities as required.

Work Location: In-office environment that is currently 3 days per week
City: Surrey

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review open order reports, create purchase orders, and follow up on all past due orders.
  • Request and review quotes for materials prior to PO creation by approved Internal requisitions.
  • Expedite orders as required to support planning schedule needs and customer commitments.
  • Update promises dock dates for orders upon receipt of vendor order confirmations and past due dates accordingly.
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales and Customer Service with drop-ship purchase orders; most applicable for Field Devices/EQUIP.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, lead times, and other important supplier chain data.
  • Review and update planning parameters for buy parts – lead times, MOQs and Buffer Reviews.
  • Interact with SAP procurement functions.
  • Assist in documenting policies, procedures, and work instructions related to Supply Chain and updated to reflect current practices.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities (5S, Quality Reviews, Enterprise team meetings, Vendor Reviews) as required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Fluent and Clear communication (written and verbal) in English.

(Plus, speaking Mandarin desirable)

  • Careful attention to details and a great “can-do” attitude.
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and time management skills.
  • Very proactive to work in collaboration with Customer Service while trying to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to exercise time flexibility, take initiative, and be resourceful.
  • Availability to work in office 80% of time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of relevant procurement or supply chain assistant role in electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Two years of using a MRP (SAP), knowledge of DDMRP desirable.
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools.
  • Post-Secondary education.
  • Supply Management Certification or Training diploma will be an asset.

Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate's qualifications, relevant education and training, competencies, experience, geographic location, and business needs. Base pay is only one component of the total compensation package and is subject to change, which may be modified in the future
