Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead and oversee the sales operations of our major appliance retail business. As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. You will provide strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to the sales management team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences and maximize sales opportunities. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional leadership skills, a proven track record of success in sales management, and a deep understanding of the appliance industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve revenue targets and increase market share
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with senior management to establish sales goals, budgets, and forecasts aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales strategies.
2. Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the sales management team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear expectations, goals, and KPIs for the sales team and ensure alignment with overall business objectives
- Recruit, train, and develop sales managers, providing ongoing coaching and support to drive professional growth.
- Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among sales teams and cross-functional departments.
3. Sales Operations Management:
- Oversee and optimize sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ensure efficient and effective sales processes, policies, and procedures are in place to drive productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to align strategies and drive a seamless customer experience.
- Continuously assess and enhance sales tools, technology, and systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales team performance and productivity.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify areas for improvement and revenue growth.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting sales performance, opportunities, and challenges.
- Implement data-driven strategies and initiatives to maximize sales effectiveness and meet or exceed targets.
5. Customer Relationship Management:
- Foster strong customer relationships and partnerships to enhance customer loyalty and drive repeat business.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop customer-centric strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and customer preferences to anticipate market demands and capitalize on opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a similar senior leadership role within the appliance or retail industry.
- Extensive knowledge of the major appliance industry, including market trends, products, and competitive landscape.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive sales growth, meet targets, and achieve results in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Proficient in utilizing CRM software and sales management tools.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
