At FutureCare our Patient Account Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring all necessary requirements are met so that the facility will be paid for services rendered. This position is an Accounts Receivable/Patient Accounts position with a variety of duties and responsibilities related to the day-to-day review, input, processing, and coordination of billing and receivable information between the facility and the Corporate Office.

- Perform verification of medical insurances
- Input, review, and frequent maintenance of admissions data
- Conduct daily census reporting
- Complete monthly AR reviews and communicate outstanding balances with residents/RP/POA as required
- Prepare and issue collection letters, including follow-up calls as needed
- Maintain resident funds accounts in accordance with State Comar regulations
- Maintain resident information confidential by staying HIPPA compliant
- Ensure timely/accurate completion and submission of all State Medicaid applications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred with evidence of college courses or in accounting
- Experience Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience supporting financial teams in a long-term healthcare facility a plus
- Initiative and proactive; willing to take on new and challenging assignments
- Ability to multi-task and support multiple critical functions in a changing and growing environment
- Strong observation skills and keen attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors
- Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems using logic and reasoning
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with other accounting team members, departments, and management
