Job Description


We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Operations for DPS. This role will focus on all aspects of the business to drive results that deliver on the multi-year P&L objectives. The position will work closely with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, particularly within Product, Sales, Account Management, Client Services, Risk, Technology, Operations, and the Legal teams, to execute goals and to maximize business performance. This role requires a leader with a strong background in product operations, risk management, regulatory and compliance oversight, vendor management, and program management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading operations in a complex and dynamic environment.


This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Head of Visa DPS. The VP will be a member of the DPS Leadership Team and will be called upon to represent DPS on strategic initiatives across Visa Inc.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Operations, you and your team will be responsible for conducting ongoing reviews of the DPS business to ensure it is operating in an efficient, structured manner, balancing all aspects of risk to optimize business performance. You will deploy resources to address any identified opportunities or gaps. Initial focus areas include:

  • Product Operations - lead the product operations team to ensure efficient and effective operation of DPS products. Regularly analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions. Build or enhance Level 3-4 support and incident management capabilities.
  • Program Management - oversee the planning and execution of various programs within the organization. This includes setting program goals, managing program resources, and ensuring program objectives are met.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Excellence - ensure the organization is in full compliance with all applicable regulations and standards and that we are assisting DPS clients with their compliance requirements. This includes developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and controls, conducting regular compliance audits, and ensuring any issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Deal Process / Committee – lead the DPS client deal process and committee, owning the framework for input and approvals.
  • Strategic client engagement – partner on evaluation of and offering for complex strategic client deals when product and support requirements significantly exceed BAU scenarios.
  • Risk Management – partner with the Risk team to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management program for the organization. This includes identifying and assessing potential risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring these strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Change Management – work with the broader DPS leadership team to ensure effective change management and processes are deployed in relation to the key strategic initiatives underway in the business.


This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 12 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
  • 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience in payments or processing solutions management, ideally with specific relevant knowledge of issuer processing and network business
  • Strong people leader, with passion for building and managing a diverse, talented, curious, and driven team, commitment to people development.
  • 5+ years in Product Operations and/or risk management and compliance, with experience incorporating analytics, tools, and processes to optimize performance.
  • Forward thinking approach to Product Strategy, able to translate market demand into new solution ideas.
  • Experienced collaborator at all levels, effectively managing through challenges to reach the best outcome.
  • Demonstrated success in managing support for existing product sets, helping develop net-new products and services, and executing on go to market initiatives.
  • Results-oriented leader, analytic and fact-based discipline with focus on delivering against quantitative goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with all levels including executive and C-level management.
  • Ability to effectively manage operational disruptions and handle product operations crisis management situations.

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 194,700 to 322,100 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
