Kelley Create seeks an experienced Field Sales Manager to manage the sales activities and Sales Representatives in an assigned area. The Field Sales Manager is responsible for increasing the sales footprint and leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales team.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop sales reps and control sales in assigned areas.
  • Responsible for ensuring team and individuals meet assigned quota, new customer acquisition, and profitability goals.
  • Assist in sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Assists in assigning a sales territory to sales personnel.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to assist reps in promoting sales.
  • Participates in market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, and development of sales campaigns.
  • Stays up to date on all the product and solution offerings available to clients and is able to train/transfer that knowledge to the sales team.
  • Recommends product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from the sales line.
  • Represents the company at industry association meetings to promote the company and products/solutions.
  • Acts as liaison between sales and other departments.
  • Holds sales meetings.
  • Analyzes and controls division expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares periodic sales forecasts/reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
  • Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position manages 2-3 employees in the sales department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from a four-year college and 2 years of experience; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

Driver’s license for travel to client work sites required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Math Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access required.

The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The work is typically performed in an office environment, with a moderate noise level. To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone and in person with individuals and groups. The incumbent will carry materials (presentation) weighing up to 25 lbs. when traveling on business. Approximately 40-50% of the time is spent travelling to, from or at local client sites.
