Position Overview:
As an Outside Sales Supervisor, you would be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities within an assigned branch. This would include maintaining proper staff levels and generating leads / sales through effective performance management of your sales team. Appropriate planning and forecasting to ensure effective control of sales in order to achieve all designed sales budgets is also required.
The Outside Sales Supervisor will follow proven company processes as well as look to expand the customer base in the local marketing areas by developing his or her own strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of marketing plans
- Actively pursue all prospective customer leads through all marketing channels
- Works to resolve any customer or sales complaints
- Plans and conducts ongoing training
- Tracks all work procedures pertaining to the sales team
- Maintains performance standards that align with approved budgets; this includes following proper corrective action procedures
- Ensures all staffing, recruiting, and interview procedures are conducted in order to efficiently train and staff all sales functions as needed
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of related experience in the lawn/horticulture agronomic field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience required
- 2+ years of outside sales experience required
