Underwriting Account Representative

Position Specifics: Philadelphia Branch
Position Responsibilities :
The Underwriting Account Representative (UAR) is an Underwriting Assistant position responsible for supporting the underwriting process for new and/or renewal Chubb Customers for multiple lines of insurance coverages including property, casualty, workers compensation, excess lines and automobile coverages. This position is also accountable for collaborating with team members to achieve growth, profit, renewal retention, service and producer/client management goals for an assigned book of business in the middle market segment of Commercial Insurance. The UAR will gather account information and translate data into rating and issuance instructions as well as utilize federal and state compliance and regulatory rules to comply with corporate pricing strategies. In partnership with the Underwriter, the UAR will be accountable for documenting specific risk data that conforms with the corporate audit as well as state market conduct exams.
PC Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet navigation

Book Assignment Criteria:
Book assignment will include accounts in CI Middle Market with active partnership with UAR Coach.
JOB DUTIES:
Renewal Tasks:
Execute duties with direction/guidance of UAA Coach with UW instructions
Prep:
Perform selected duties (gather data) to complete Prep of Accounts 90 days in advance of Expiration with engagement /oversight of UAA coach
Collect Renewal Data per UW direction
Quote:
With direct engagement from Underwriter & UAA Coach; Complete Standardized tool to generate quote request.
Follow UW guidance for Pricing instructions
Respond to CSR questions with engagement from UAA Coach
Issue:
With direct engagement from Underwriter & UAA Coach; Complete Standardized tool to initiate Binding/issuance of account.
Respond to CSR questions with engagement from UAA Coach
Endorsements/Crits:
With direct engagement from UW/UAA Coach; will handle endorsements that kick out of the Endt. UW desk and will research and resolve Bureau Crits.
Broker Engagement:
Limited broker engagement at the direction of UW with UAA Coach guidance

Entry level knowledge of products/appetite/strategies and systems for Renewals.
