The Opportunity:

A Day in the Life:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication, providing exceptional service, and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborating with underwriters and internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive insurance proposals are provided to clients.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop sales strategies, share best practices, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Managing an established book of accounts.
  • Cross selling to existing clients.
  • Negotiating renewals for existing customers and resolving customer issues.
  • Coordinating services, answering client questions, and resolving problems which may arise.
  • Working closely with the producer when negotiation and securing the most appropriate carrier coverage based upon client needs for new and renewal business and negotiating cost of those coverages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum ten years of commercial lines insurance experience.
  • Provincial P&C license is required.
  • CAIB, CIP, CRM, and other insurance-related designations are an asset.
  • High level of proficiency with computer application skills and online carrier portals.
