A leading technology company committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive innovation and efficiency is seeking highly skilled DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer / Cloud Architect specializing in Azure to join our dynamic team.

As a DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer / Cloud Architect specializing in Azure, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services, streamline deployment processes, and optimize system performance.

FULLY ONSITE ROLE IN NEW JERSEY

Key Responsibilities:

Azure:

1. Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

  • Design, deploy, and manage highly scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Architect cloud environments based on best practices, considering factors such as security, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Implement automation tools and practices to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency across environments.

2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • Define and maintain infrastructure configurations in code for increased scalability, repeatability, and consistency.
  • Implement version control and code review processes for infrastructure code.

3. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

  • Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud infrastructure.
  • Analyze system metrics and logs to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
  • Implement scaling strategies to handle fluctuations in workload demand and ensure optimal performance.

DevOps:

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.
  • Implement version control, automated testing, and release management strategies to enhance development workflows.
  • Monitor and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
  • Configure identity and access management (IAM) policies, network security controls, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and remediate potential vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Cloud Architect, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Expert knowledge of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
  • Highly knowledgeable of DevOps principles and practices, including Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
  • Highly knowledgeable with cloud-native security solutions and compliance frameworks (e.g., Azure Security Center, CIS benchmarks).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migration strategies (e.g., Azure Hybrid Benefit, Azure Migrate).
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

This is an in person position, local candidates are preferred but not required.
