One of LA’s leading independent insurance agencies is looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their growing team.

Job Description

Manage a client base of accounts in a manner that promotes an excellent level of service and profitability to both the customer and agency, promote revenue growth, and ensure a high level of retention. The Account Manager prepares applications, specifications and shares ideas on the marketing strategy for new business as well as the renewals of assigned clients and provides exemplary service to clients for large complex accounts.

Insurance Knowledge

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferred in a comparable position handling various types of coverage including ancillary coverage.

This position handles complex and mid-to-large market risks for VIP accounts.

Coverage knowledge includes (but is not limited to) Commercial Package, DIC (Earthquake, Flood & Wind Exposures), Course of Construction, Construction Liability Wrap, Foreign Property & Liability, Mono - line Property, Mono - line Commercial General Liability, Inland & Ocean Marine, Business Auto, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Workers Compensation, Professional lines (Director and Officers, Employment Practice Liability, Errors and Omissions) Cyber, Crime, Surety Bonds.

Work Skills / Attributes

Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of coverages and policy terms and be able to clearly articulate this information as needed.

Deliver high level of service and manage all aspects of client service including new business and renewal processing consistent with established agency procedures.

This is a full service and self-sufficient role for a person who likes the challenge of managing and growing an important book of business. Servicing support is provided.

Maintains relationships with clients, support staff, insurance markets, vendors, and staff.

Adaptability to learn and implement established workflows.

Technology

Proficient in working with Applied EPIC management system. Understand how to work within Applied EPIC – Process renewals, new coverage, changes, fully update or input information into applications, read and interpret transactions (billing) screen, manage activities and process certificates via CSR24.

Microsoft 365 Suite of Software

Education / License

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or insurance (Preferred but not required)

Insurance Designations (Preferred but not required)

Active P&C Insurance License in California (Required)

Active P&C Insurance License in other states (Welcomed but not required)

Continual insurance education (Required)

In-office is highly preferred and open to being creative with incentives for those open to this idea but not a deal breaker. Hybrid is available after 30 days of in-office training and onboarding with the willingness to come in for all staff meetings and/or training days once a month.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
