Ag Sales Account Manager, Winnipeg West. This is a rare opportunity to put all of your customer relationship skills and agri-business knowledge to work to create real value for some of our largest customers. The successful candidate will help a small group of customers identify and leverage just the right combination of equipment, technology and data analysis to optimize the efficiency and productivity of their farm operations. Working closely with all departments in the company, the Account Manager ensures unparalleled service for the customer group.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain an account profile and targeted sales plan for each key account;
- Become the ‘trusted advisor’ to the key customers and gain a depth of knowledge about their business challenges and opportunities to best position solutions;
- Develop innovative approaches to illustrate or prove the value proposition;
- Embrace new technology and become expert in understanding and communicating the value;
- Invest in customer relationship management through regular, planned contact;
- Keep current with competitive activity and products;
- Coordinate, participate in customer clinics, give presentations at industry events;
- Coordinate and /or conduct equipment field demonstrations;
- Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values, market and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes;
Required Skills
We are looking for someone who has:
- +8 years sales experience in a similar field or demonstrated transferable skills
- 3-5 years agricultural equipment or related experience
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Excellent analytical skills and general business acumen
Required Experience
Education, Qualifications:
- Agriculture degree or business degree or related
- Professional sales training
- Certifications in agronomy, equipment, technology would be assets
