Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, SLU Hotel Group (Titan Management). The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Salary plus performance-based bonuses
Work Environment: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue, maximize occupancy, and achieve average daily rate (ADR) goals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to assess industry trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities, leveraging insights to refine sales tactics.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment that emphasizes professional growth and goal achievement.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and local businesses. Represent at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Sales Reporting: Analyze key performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet sales objectives. Provide regular progress updates to senior management.
- Collaboration with Operations: Partner with the hotel operations team to ensure seamless execution of guest services and events in alignment with Marriott’s standards of hospitality.
- Budget Management: Develop and oversee the sales budget, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals. Monitor expenses and adjust plans as needed to maintain profitability.
- Training and Development: Conduct regular training for the sales team on Marriott standards, sales best practices, and effective client engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of sales experience within the hospitality industry, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with Marriott systems such as FOSSE and Salesforce.
- Previous experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of Marriott’s sales and marketing strategies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays as required.
